Herbal Tea for Acute Illness
This warming herbal blend combines aromatic, warming, and traditionally supportive herbs for times when the body is experiencing an acute illness.
The herbs in this formula each bring different qualities to the blend, creating a balanced preparation that can be enjoyed hot as part of supportive self-care.

Ingredients
Combine the herbs in the following proportions:
1 part ginger
1 part elderflower
1 part elderberry
1 part yarrow
2 parts mint
½ part licorice
1 part anise hyssop
Making the Tea
Prepare using a standard infusion method.
Steep the herbal blend in freshly boiled water, covered, and strain before drinking.
Traditionally, 1 cup is taken hot every 1–2 hours during acute illness.
Because this is a concentrated, frequently consumed preparation, it is important to consider individual health circumstances, medications, pregnancy, allergies, and herb-specific cautions before using it. Herbal preparations are supportive practices and are not a substitute for medical evaluation or treatment when an infection or serious illness is suspected.
Sometimes supporting the body during illness can be as simple as warmth, hydration, rest, and a thoughtfully prepared cup of herbal tea.
