Key Points: Angelica is a plant for the deep, hollow organs of the body. She is an excellent mover and shaker of deep, stuck congestion in the lungs, liver, bowels, pelvis, and cardiovascular system. She helps us move emotions that are blocking us from feeling connection, such as grief or depression, sometimes by helping us see the blockage and other times by bringing in warmth and light to the parts of ourselves that are cold and dark. In birth, angelica is a perfect aid for a retained placenta when the mother isn't ready to let go. She comes in and helps release, allowing the mother to safely transition into the next phase.
