Awaken Passion Tea

There is something beautiful about creating a tea with intention.
Not everything we make with plants needs to be about fixing something. Sometimes a cup of tea can simply be an invitation—to slow down, soften, reconnect with yourself, and awaken something that may have been quiet for a while.
This blend brings together warming spices, cacao, aromatic peppermint, and herbs traditionally associated with relaxation, vitality, and sensuality.
Ingredients
1 part shatavari
1 part dong quai
½ part cacao
1 part peppermint
1 part licorice root
1 part cinnamon
1 part damiana
1 part passionflower
Combine the herbs and spices and store in an airtight container.
For a cup of tea, use approximately 1–2 teaspoons of the blend per 8–12 ounces of hot water. Cover and steep for 10–30 minutes, then strain.
Sip slowly and let the experience be part of the preparation—not something to rush through.
A Few of the Magical Qualities of This Tea
Damiana
Damiana has a long history of traditional use as an aromatic and relaxing herb. It has also been associated with sensuality and sexual vitality in traditional herbal practices.
I especially love it here for the way it invites us to soften nervous tension and come back into ourselves.
Passionflower
Passionflower is traditionally used as a calming herb and has a long history of use when the nervous system feels tense or overactive.
For this blend, I think of it as an invitation to release some of the tension we carry and create a little more room to breathe.
Shatavari
Shatavari is often called the “Queen of Herbs” in Ayurvedic traditions and is traditionally regarded as a nourishing reproductive and restorative herb for women.
Its inclusion in this blend brings a sense of nourishment, softness, and connection to feminine vitality.
The Rest of the Blend
Peppermint brings freshness and brightness.
Cacao adds richness, depth, and a naturally beautiful chocolate flavor.
Cinnamon brings warmth and spice.
Licorice root adds sweetness and helps round out the stronger flavors of the blend.
Dong quai contributes an earthy, aromatic quality and has a long history of use in traditional Chinese herbalism, particularly in formulas associated with women’s health.
Together, these herbs create a tea that feels warm, aromatic, grounding, and a little bit indulgent.
Make It a Ritual
Maybe this is a morning cup.
Maybe it’s an evening cup.
Maybe you light a candle, put your phone away, take a few slow breaths, and give yourself permission to simply be with yourself.
Passion doesn’t always have to mean intensity.
Sometimes passion is curiosity.
Sometimes it is creativity.
Sometimes it is pleasure.
Sometimes it is simply remembering that you are still here—and allowing yourself to feel alive.
Let this tea be an invitation to awaken whatever part of you is ready to wake up.
